HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY MY FRIENDS ! 2010 ROCKS !

Hello all my friends ! I hope all of you are doing well, it has been quite some time since I found the opportunity to update this page, it's been one super busy year !:)

Since last year's Grammy Ballot containing nominations (including in the categories of Album of The Year, Record of The Year, Best New Artist, Best Pop Female Vocal, and Producer of The Year) for my work with artists Kelly Saint Patrick (www.kellysaintpatrick.com) and Project Grand Slam (www.projectgrandslam.com), and after appearing on-camera on the NBC TV series “Lipstick Jungle” (www.nbc.com/lipstick_jungle) alongside Brooke Shields, I have had the good fortune to work with several fantastic artists both as a producer and drummer, completing Pop-R&B recording artist Anita Prime (www.anitaprime.com) new album "Destiny" in New Zealand, Latvian-American artist Nika Brighton's “Television”, and working with Canadian Pop Storyteller Piper McKinnon (www.pipermckinnon.com) on her forthcoming release “Beautiful Disaster". I also completed drumming on albums and appearing on music videos for artists Judie Tzuke, Rodney Pascual, Belt, Greg Merritt, Tori Green, Jasper James, Tatiana Moroz, Mike Mako, Tyler Burba, Maxine Linehan, Sophie Herbert, as well as on “Mahavishnu Redefined” alongside Billy Cobham, Dennis Chambers, Gary Husband, Billy Ward and Vinnie Colaiuta.

In addition, I participated on soundtrack session and tv work for indie film “SkipTracers”, as well as MTV, Coca Cola, ESPN, Budweiser, The Comedy Network and WB’s “One Tree Hill”, along with on-camera performances of Project Grand Slam's Grammy nominated music on NBC's "Lipstick Jungle". .

Not long ago I had the pleasure of filming several segments for the Evans Drumheads website (www.evansdrumheads.com), chronicaling my perspectives on various studio-drumming related topics, as well as a comical segment called “Drum Stool Diaries.”

.Come March, I am heading into (Tony) Bennett Studios in New Jersey to produce and play on jam-band stalwart Greg Merritt & Heavy Road's (www.gregmerritt.net) forthcoming album, slated for release in late summer 2010. Also in the works is multi-Grammy nominee Kelly Saint Patrick's sophmore album, currently in pre-production, slated for recording in the summer of 2010 ... stay tuned for more info ! And keep posted for upcoming Anita Prime tour dates and TV apperances !

And finally, I am happy to announce that photo-journalist Jules Follett's long anticipated 500-page photographic-essay hardcover book, "Sticks 'N Skins" (www.sticksnskins.com), featuring Ron alongisde some of the greatest names in drumming, hit store shelves just before Xmas 2009.  Ron was a featured subject of Jules's eye-spy lens.  As she put it, “These drummers, I tell you, such character … It’s the stuff that no one sees, ‘cause they’re always so hard to photograph on stage, being way back there; these guys deserve the limelight !" I was also very flattered to have been invited at the 2010 NAMM Show to sign copies of the book at the "Sticks 'N Skins" booth.

Thanks again to all my friends near and far, for all your continuing positivity and support, and I look forward to hearing from all of you and to sharing with you my times and travels !

Sincerely :-)
